Rough Day Signals Nothing: Stay Scared

By Beau Friedlander

I know I should hate to do this to you, but the truth is I really think it's good for you. What? Well, besides this little reality check that we're getting by way of this not-so-little crash, I am referring to the William Blake poem I'm about to inflict on you... Sorry (ish):

Infant Sorrow

My mother groaned, my father wept;
Into the dangerous world I leapt,
Helpless, naked, piping loud,
Like a fiend hid in a cloud.

Struggling in my father's hands,
Striving against my swaddling bands,
Bound and weary, I thought best
To sulk upon my mother's breast.

Yes, the market is a newborn realist, and today's 1000 point swing was it struggling and striving against it's swaddling bands. And now it's tired.

Today the Dow brushed the 8000-mark. This was the place most analysts, and a few shlubs like me, felt might mark a bottom. That the Dow got as close as 50 points from the opening is a clear signal that all is not lost (unless of course you happened to lose everything already). The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 35% this year.

Next week is bound to be interesting. The weekend is not off-limits to shenanigans, as we've learned. Stay tuned.

those tax cuts

are doin a heckuva job.

Makes sense to me.

Nice Poem... Can't believe the star of TV's "Baretta " wrote it.

Makes sense to me.

Nothing takes my mind off a global depression that is beyond anything yet seen in human history... than "sulking" on a set of huge, swaying fun-bags.

Boobs Pictures, Images and Photos

Sigh... Men. Why do certain

Sigh...
Men.
Why do certain words automatically bring up erotic images for you?

This is what came to my mind when I read the poem:
mother child Pictures, Images and Photos

Be honest Michtou.

If you had to choose a set of breasts to sulk on the ones A G provided sure would be nice.

Let's impeach the president for lying-Neil Young

Me? Ha! Perhaps you mistake

Me? Ha!
Perhaps you mistake me for someone who is driven by androgens.

Sorry. What can I say?

I love boobs.

Not to belabor the point, but anthropoligists have found that the one universal form of foreplay, common to every culture on earth, is breast fondling.

Everybody does it... Eskimos... Aborigines... Eurasians... Equatorial Africans... Brits, Italians, and French.

Ok, I love tits... So sue me.

Pardon me for being human.

====================

P.S. Yeah, I got It... The poem was touching... I'm just not in the mood for "touching" right now... what with our Republic on the verge of collapse and all...

I wish men would stop trying

I wish men would stop trying to make the male experience the sum total of human experience. Try flying an airplane with only one wing. That is what ignoring the female half of humanity is doing.

By MichtouOctober 12, 2008 - 9:12pm

That is what ignoring the female half of humanity is doing.

And here I was thinking that it was just preventing my lawn from getting mowed.

Support the Troops.
End the Occupation.

Oh, Puh-leeze.

My wife likes me!... Today, anyway, depends on her mood.

Nobody's ignoring anybody's "humanity". That's just silly.

If you're peddling the "woman as victim" angle, you're playing to the wrong audience in me. Look up the phrase "pussy-whipped" in the dictionary and you'll find my picture. "Mrs.AG" RULES WITH AN IRON FIST...AN IRON FIST!

P.S. Rumor has it some women enjoy sex as much as men do. Joking about sex is not tantamount to "ignoring the female half of humanity". I've championed women's rights publically and privately all my life... and yet, I still love gigantic bouncing boobies... So sue me.

There's a big difference

There's a big difference between "liking to fondle" and "liking to be fondled." Everything you've said so far ignores the female experience. "I'm just human" makes it sound like that's how all humans are. "I'm just a guy" would have been more accurate.
It's not victimology, it's trying to get you to think beyond your box. Far too many men ignore that women don't feel the same way that they do about certain things. Look at all the boob comments. They all assume that somehow the bigger the boobs, the better.

Not me. I believe that more than a handful's a waste. :-)

Support the Troops.
End the Occupation.

OH BULLSHIT!

This sounds like a personal problem to me... YOU'RE personal problem.

Look at your post:

There's a big difference between "liking to fondle" and "liking to be fondled." Everything you've said so far ignores the female experience. "I'm just human" makes it sound like that's how all humans are. "I'm just a guy" would have been more accurate.

'COUPLE THINGS:

1) What part of "Not to belabor the point, but anthropoligists have found that the one universal form of foreplay, common to every culture on earth, is breast fondling. Everybody does it... Eskimos... Aborigines... Eurasians... Equatorial Africans... Brits, Italians, and French."... DIDN'T YOU UNDERSTAND??

ARE YOU NUTS??... You think this has gone on for hundreds of thousands of years WITHOUT WOMEN CONSENTING TO, AND ENJOYING IT??... Give me a fucking break.

2) You wrote: "Everything you've said so far ignores the female experience....Oh Bullshit... NOTHING I'VE SAID HAS IGNORED "THE FEMALE EXPERIENCE"

====================

Oh, this is silly... Never mind. I'm not wasting any more time on this.

This is a personal problem.

Look at this: Look at all the boob comments. They all assume that somehow the bigger the boobs, the better.

Try replacing the word "boobs" with the word "penis": Look at all the penis comments. They all assume that somehow the bigger the penis, the better.

Your Honor, I rest my case.

Get over it. I'm not Brad Pitt.

Fine, you're out to make me

Fine, you're out to make me into a feminazi. But, NO WOMEN HAVE HAD PENIS DISCUSSION on this board. In fact, all the penis discussions were carried out by men, generally to annoy other men.

I think size is far more important to men, both in female and male attributes.

I'm well enough endowed. I get tired of men having discussions with my chest instead of looking at my face. Perhaps my sensitivity comes from that. But when I think about it, I think it was the picture that ticked me off. I don't post pictures of men's assets. Why do I have to be subjected to pictures of women's parts and guys' hairy butt holes with balls showing (no, you didn't post that one, I know). So maybe you're just getting my anger vented at you, when I'm just sick and tired of pictures that shouldn't be posted at all on this site.

Personally, I think you're beautiful.

I think you're a wonderful human being

My little jokes just recognize the human condition. They recognize.. well... The truth!

I'm not Brad Pitt and my wife isn't Angelina Jolie (not my type - Yuck!)

======================

Yes, I love big boobs... I also like Little Boobs... I like just about any boobs.

That just acknowledges half a million years of evolution I had no control over. Conversely, woman seek a verile, "alpha"-provider.

Like my late mother used to say "IT TAKES "TWO" TO TANGO".

But there are OTHER elements of evolution. Propogating one's genes now involves complex social networks (BTW, THAT'S WHAT MAKES US THE DOMINANT, WALKING-ON-THE-FUCKING-MOON-PRIMATES WE ARE).

BOTTOM LINE:
You're a woman, that makes you beautiful, in my mind. It should make you beautiful in YOU'RE mind as well.

Sex is in the mind, Love is in the heart, and so sex and love cannot be bound by physicality.

bipartisan commission says

palin violated alaskan ethics laws.

By scottso360October 10, 2008 - 11:41pm

By unanimous vote - 8 republicans and 4 democrats.

They were pissed that McCain's campaign tried to come in and order things about and claim partisanship.

Now the McCain camp is calling this a "victory". LMAO!

well, apparently the panel says...

palin did not break the law but she did break the ethics code.

this panel in alaska sounds

a bit confused. did she break the law or not?
