Man! I'm baking bread today - I've always racked my brains trying to think of something unique to send in to the show  & it finally dawned on me today I could've sent homemade breads - but now it's too late & there's nowhere to send anything = (

& I make terrific bread, too.....

I'm throwing an INTERNET RADIO MARC MARON/JIM EARL MEMORIAL WAKE.
Here's a descrip. of it from my blog...

On GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP this SUNDAY will be an UN-OFFICIAL WAKE for the apparent demise of Marc Maron on Air America Radio. The show will feature BEST OF clips from TMMS, MS, and Maron's stand-up CDs. I'll be taking requests through the chat room and be serving liquor. To myself. Not you. :)

8pm CENTRAL TIME on FREERADIOSAIC.ORG.

Part of the reason people create is to put out a product that THEY would want. That they would wear, listen to, watch, etc. What they like. And RIGHT NOW? I want to hear the reasons I stayed glued to my radio after the opening music to Morning Sedition. I want to hear the confessions and discussions that followed Jim Earl's surreal introductions.

That's what I want and I think it's what a lot of other people would like to hear right now.

It's REALLY not about self-promotion. I feel bad that it looks like it. But I sincerely want a fun gathering of fans requesting and playing their favorite bits. Like sharing bootleg tapes of our favorite band.

oh no - I guessed...

...early on that it was Iris Bahr - hers was the only photo that had no corresponding 'interview' on any of the show blogs - & it was from a date when Svetlana was on - her page(linked on the 'Players' page) also suggests that this would be a character of hers.

 

& Svetlana never sounded anything like Mishna. Does Mishna even do characters? 

 

I love that this show (& AAR in general) has opened up a whole realm of personalities/entertainers to me = )

Oh I'm SO gonna miss Svetlana = (

& Jim Earl!

& all the rest of the characters....

But I hope that's a pseudonym on the Tom Cruise parodist, the Co$ is as forgiving as the Holy Spanish Inquisition--and I'm not talking compfy chairs.

I intend to utilize me Premium savings to see some of these folks if they ever show up in my corner of the world.

These are bittersweet days and it is truly sad that we are not going to get the unique viewpoints on this world going madder.

I was sure

that al quaida news was Marc Maron and maybe Dan Pashman. WRONG! I still can't get my itunes to download the last show. Serves me right for being too scared to listen to it live. I was afraid my kids would be like "why is mommie cryin'?" Marc, keep us informed about your career moves ok? You have turned me for one, into a huge giant marc maron need machine. I love you Marc, deal with it.
