Senate Forced To Call For More Debt

Today the Senate voted to increase the national debt ceiling to nearly $9,000,000,000,000 (that’s nine trillion to you and me). The $781 billion increase is the fourth since President Bush took office, and was necessary to narrowly avert what would have been the first default ever on United States Treasury notes. Dissent within the Republican party continues to grow, with some GOP lawmakers furious that the party's leaders are officially calling for more debt, thereby giving Democrats a prime opportunity to highlight the president's fiscally irresponsible policies .

Reagan started Debt insanity !!!

Reagan enterd office with the USA as world's LARGEST CREDITOR nation and departed office 8 years later and burdened USA as world's LARGEST DEBTOR! Well done Ronnie! He's like the loser repugs who max out credit card and say, "see How rich I've become?

You give any con a credit card with a Trillion credit limit, he can show you "how to live large" and have someone ELSE pay for it!! Like your kids,grand kids, great grand kids.

Bush Jr & REPUBLICAN controlled congress in 5 years has added over 3 TRILLION. That's right, with a T ! Bush took office with 5 trillion in debt( from Reagan & papa Bush) and added ANOTHER 4 Trillion.

Clinton was in surplus attempting to pay off Reagan & papa Bush accumulated DEBT!

Cons claim to be "the Party of personal RESPONSIBILITY" ???? Bwuuuuuaaaaaaaa haaa haaaa !!!

And don't EVER forget the REPUBLICAN Great Depression!!!

Franklin Roosevelt had to clean up that mess called the REPUBLICAN Great Depression caused by crony-laisse faire CON policies of Coolidge/Hoover.

Grandma still talks about those shanty "Hoovervilles" that coverd the country. And grandma says this current con crowd reminds her of those days. She yearns for another liberal FDR to save us again from CON mis-managment & looting of our treasury!

Clinton,like FDR, had to clean up GOP messes and debt and it will take another SANE & HONEST liberal to save us AGAIN.

Why do we liberals ALWAYS have to clean up the CON poop?

a solution for the new debt

Okay -- The government has allowed Corporations
to basically raid pension funds, line their
pockets and jump with golden parachutes.
We need to reverse the process, and immediately
take away the pensions from Congress and the
Senate. We also need to take away the Secret Service
protection former presidents and their families
get.
We also need to bill the long-term representatives
and make them pay BACK any car leases, gas charges,
cell phones, airfare back and forth to functions -
any perks they have given themselves, while jamming
it to the middle-class voters.
Also, any company that did not bid for contracts,
should account for every single cent of money
given to them, and if it's found that they did
not do what was promised, they be fined, and
have their assets seized to the tune of the original
contract.
