American Raid Drives Angry Shiites From Government Talks

News:
U.S. military officials are on the defensive as the fallout continues over a joint U.S.-Iraqi raid in Baghdad on Sunday that left 16 Iraqis dead; whether those Iraqis were enemy combatants or innocents attending prayer services depends on who’s telling the story. One detail that both sides can agree on is that the 16 killed in the raid were followers of Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, and in response, angry Shia political leaders cancelled talks on the new government and accused the U.S. of trying to oust current Iraqi PM Ibrahim al-Jaafari, who is Shiite.

By the end of 1779, $241.6 million of Continentals had been authorized. U.S. loan certificates, foreign loans, state-issued bills of credit, and other evidences of public debt completed the stock of borrowing for the Revolution. The worst inflation in U.S. history resulted from the overissue of Continentals, and the bills became nearly valueless by 1780. The other evidences of revolutionary debt also depreciated greatly in value. After the war, starting in 1782, Congress authorized commissioners to travel around the country to examine claims against Congress and the Continental army and revalue them in terms of hard money. The revalued debt amounted to some $27 million

Get real, As his was one of the highest approval ratings in history! who cares about his first 2 years, as he was moppin up another of Carter's idiotic messes.who by the way entered office with a 47% and left with a 34%.. and to be first with any comparison with low balls of approval is just plain lies, as Nixon left office with a 28% approval, and Truman only a 31%, Harrison, Buchannon, and Harding all rated below 30% so as stated, to refute all these fallacies would take more time than its worth.
