News:
One day after the revelation that Lewis “Scooter” Libby’s leaking of classified information to the media was not only authorized, but ordered by President Bush, the White House continued its silence on the matter. And while a consensus has begun to form that the unorthodox move was technically within Bush’s power, the president’s history of statements related to the leak case present yet another front on which his credibility will now be under attack, at a time he and his party can ill afford more scrutiny. The administration may try to wait out the storm in silence, explaining themselves by proxy through anonymous statements from “senior officials” who point out that such a leak doesn’t break the letter of the law; what they’ll be more hard-pressed to explain is how the president reconciles his behavior with his tough talk on the problem of leaks in government, saying in 2003, “There are too many leaks of classified information in Washington. There's leaks at the executive branch, there's leaks in the legislative branch, there's just too many leaks.” Questions about the court filings had White House spokesman Scott McClellan dancing as fast he could at this morning's briefing, returning time and again to the administration's boilerplate refusal to comment on ongoing legal proceedings (except when it serves their interests).
Thier fucked
All government documents have a classification rating, everything from toilet paper requisitions to nuclear submarine readiness status (our most classified data). Yes, I know this prom personal experience from being in the army in a missile battery unit ;)
To date, the NIE that this all revolves around is STILL officially designated "partially classified". This means that the master file which contains it has a specially-anotated version which has all the classified portions of the document either removed or blacked out, and the remaining text publically available.
The text that IS NOT available to the public? You guessed it, EVERYTHING WITH A NAME OR ASSOCIATION!
Yeah folks, this means that TO THIS DATE all associations of Valerie Plame and her cover company are STILL OFFICIALLY state secrets!
To make matters worse, all versions of a government documetn (including the versions which contain partial data) are time-stamped with the date their classification was changed. The time-stamp for the "partially declassified" status on the NIE was only a couple months ago....lloooooooonnnggggg after BushCo evidently leaked the contents to KARL NOVAK and the other BushCo media shills.
What does this mean from a legal standpoint? That BushCo has not only committed a crime, but committed TREASON. All the evidence is not only known, but for the past two years has been PUBLICALLY ACKNOWLEDGED by GWB himself, lol!
Now, I'll turn the floor over to the BushCo appologist dt/JPN/whatever so he can try to earn his paycheck as a BushCo shill. Go ahead man, start slinging bullshit and trying to disguise the issue by your insecent cries of "Clinton's Cock!, Clinton's Cock!, Clinton's Cock!". Go ahead and try to say that since the Dems have committed misdemeanors, procedural errors, and been charged with crimes they have later been vindicated of - that BushCo can commit FELLONIES, WAR-CRIMES, MASS MURDER, NATIONAL FRAUD, AND OUTRIGHT ADMITTED TREASON!!!
Yeah...THATS equatable. Once again: suck it.
