Rachel is back in the saddle today after being carted off to TeeVee Land to fill in for Keith Olbermann yesterday. So thank you to David Bender for filling in and thank you to all of our callers. Nobody Noticed Abraham's BO - Haven't You Ever Gone Camping?
Funny how quickly you stop noticing things like oily skin and BO when everyone around you has them, isn't it? Mind you, I'm as far removed from Mr. Nature as you can get (I HATE camping!), but from those times when I've been forced into it by family or friends I've noticed you get past those issues before long....
BTW, the Romans in Jesus's time did have baths complete with hot water, and expected everyone who considered themselves "civilized", Roman or not, to bathe regularly. What they didn't have was soap - they used scented oil, and a scraper called a strigil to scrape the dirt off them.
