Today's TRMS
On today's show Rachel will be playing all of Obama's landmark speech in Berlin and then we will compare it to McCain's speech. McCain's wasn't a landmark speech but it was at a landmark. It was at Schmidt's Sausage and Fudge Haus in Columbus, Ohio. There, McCain was literally drowned out by wind chimes. Rachel will be talking to David Bender, her political guru and host of Politically Direct, about his reaction to Obama's speech.
The tab
The first part of the trip was a Senate trip. Iraq and Afghanistan definitely, though I'm not sure whether Israel, Jordan, and other countries in that area were also part of the Senate trip, but I think so.
The current part of his trip is a campaign trip. His time in Berlin is being paid for by his campaign funds.
