Her track record in lying is quite notable. She ran as someone who votes independently of the Bush Administration, but she never voted against anything sponsored by the Republicons that was actually defeated. She "voted her conscience" only when it didn't affect the party's desired result.

As for the status of our nuclear resources, just in the news yesterday, a story about a crew on missile alert status falling asleep (so maybe they aren't so alert, but they are still on hair trigger). My recollection is all the changes in the status resulted in changing the targeting so that the missiles were said to no longer be pointed at specific pre-selected targets. Is that actually better?

Heather has some questionable personal and family activities in her NM past, from her tenure in State Government....some files that disappeared, some tap dancing about how she handled those files that involved her husband; and then there was her involvement in the David Iglesias firing, right alongside Pete Domenici, her political patron.

I don't see her being a help to McCain, but hey, maybe that's a good thing. The best thing about Heather Wilson is that she gave up her Congressional Seat to run for Senate and lost the primary to someone even less likely to wind up a Senator, the right winger, Steve Pearce.
